玉 (tama) means ball, and 姫様 (hime-sama) means princess (or lady) so the title would mean Ball Princess or Ball Lady. I’m not sure how this fits into the meaning of the song, so I’ve decided to leave her name in Japanese. Clearly, the song is about a woman’s cycle, and it has been suggested to me that the “tama” here might refer to the eggs that are released during menstruation, but I can’t find any evidence to back this up. If anyone has any insight, let me know.

I think that 玉 ‘tama’ might be short for the full 玉子 ‘tamago’ which means egg, but also separately, the kanji 玉 can mean ‘ball’ and 子 ‘child’, so there might be sort of a play on words of creating a princess (something similar to “child”), especially since once you are menstruating, you are usually not considered a child anymore.
On another side, 玉 ‘tama’ can mean like, droplet (of sweat, or perhaps in this case blood?)
I think it is a clever play on kanji perhaps.
